charlie | kitchener-waterloo, ontario pet photographer

I met Charlie and his owner in a local park for our photo session. He's a two-year-old havamalt - isn't he cute? I love his bushy eyebrows, though they did make my job a little trickier! He is a sociable little guy, always on the move, always checking things out.

There were lots of delicious treats on hand for Charlie! Mmmm.

You can tell he is loved by the whole family.

And he sure can make some funny faces - here's the crazy eye.

Thanks Charlie - I had a great time trying to keep up with you!

my animal family

I love meeting dogs and cats of all shapes, sizes and breeds. But there's nothing better than coming home at the end of the day to the tail-wagging greetings from my own pets. I'd like to introduce you to my cute, and sometimes crazy, animal family.

First, there's Julie our seven-year-old tuxedo cat. We call her Kitty so much that I'm pretty sure she thinks that's her name. She also goes by The Boss, because she rules the roost at our house! She is quite a talker and lets us know when her food bowl is empty and when it's time for bed. She can often be found snoozing in the laundry hamper or behind the shower curtain. Most recently she has learned how to open the closet door ... I fear there may be a bigger plan in the works!

Then there is our adorable golden retriever Chloe, who's almost five. We adopted her last fall from a family that could no longer care for her. We still can't get over that we found her online for free - it truly was our lucky day. She is the sweetest, most loyal girl and she really makes our house a home. She loves swimming, belly rubs and is ball OBSESSED. In fact, her ball collection grows on a daily basis because she seems to find a new one on every walk. She also loves cruising with the windows down.

Sidonie Gabrielle Colette once said, "Our perfect companions never have fewer than four feet." I wouldn't feel complete without the furry members of my family - they make me laugh every single day!

phoenix | milton, ontario pet photographer

I hung out with goldendoodle Phoenix in her backyard on a beautiful summer day. She's a shy girl and needed some coaxing with treats to come close. She has outrageously long eyelashes and the most soulful eyes. Look at that pink tongue!

It wasn't until I brought out my own dog, Chloe (who you'll be seeing lots of in future posts!), that Phoenix really came out of her shell. She loves to play and she LOVED Chloe - there were lots of doggie smooches.

She's a bit of a goofball too!

Thanks for being such a good sport Phoenix!

it's business time

I ordered some sample business cards from the amazing moo.com and they arrived in the mail the other day - so fun! I'm not sure which photos I'll choose to go with, but seeing all these cute faces looking up at me on business cards with my name on them is so cool.

meet elliote | kitchener-waterloo, ontario pet photographer

She's great at smiling! Elliote is a nine-year-old cockapoo with the sweetest disposition and the best teddy bear fur. Isn't she just the cutest thing? I met Elliote's owner in the park for a secret photo shoot - the images are a gift to her husband who just adores this dog. It's easy to see why!

Thanks Lori and Elliote!

roxy | guelph, ontario pet photographer

This is Roxy, one of the coolest outdoor cats ever. She showed up on her owner's doorstep as a stray and lived many years on a farm where she spent most of her time in the neighbouring fields prowling, pouncing and having a great time! Now she's a suburban cat, but still loves her outside time. She doesn't wander far, and can often be found lounging in a patch of sunlight on the back deck.

Look at those eyes - she's a gorgeous girl!

Thanks Roxy and Becky. I had a fun time at our impromptu photo session!

suzy q | oakville, ontario pet photographer

Suzy Q is a girlie girl and a diva - she's gorgeous and she knows it! She's a sweetie-pie too, just like her owner. Suzy was a stray before finding her forever home where she is now pampered to no end. She deserves it!

That's a whole lotta kitty. But she's not pudgy - that's all hair!

She's got attitude too!

Thanks Suzy Q and Jane!
