the human-animal bond

Anyone who has owned a pet knows the human-animal bond is remarkable. I recently wrote an article about the connection between people and their pets, which was published by a university alumni magazine and by Focus magazine, which is published by the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association.

treat time

Chloe is the pickiest dog I've ever known when it comes to food. She's a total mooch when it comes to cheese, and she gets her fair share of wheat-free organic dog treats. But she won't eat any food that involves fruit, and often vegetables, in any way. We tried turkey and cranberry flavour dog cookies recently, but it was a no go. So we donated them to the Humane Society and bought her NEW treats. This time we got beef and liver, and she gobbles them up.

Very occasionally she gets a chew treat, which she can devour in one sitting if we aren't keeping an eye on her. This past weekend she was being so good, so we sent her out to the yard with something yummy. I think she liked it!

chloe | Oakville, ontario pet photographer

A few weeks ago I got to meet Chloe, a 19-week-old wheaten terrier. She just stole my heart (I wanted to sneak her away in my camera bag)! I love terriers - their fur is just adorable and they always have so much personality. Chloe was a fantastic subject and had loads of patience as we walked around to several gorgeous locations in downtown Oakville, Ontario.
