closing the gap

I think this is the closest I've ever seen the cat and dog - usually they steer clear of each other. But ever since the baby came along, they have spent their mornings sleeping on our bed together. It's pretty cute!

new website!

There's big news at Happy Tails headquarters and everyone is excited, even Chloe who put on her party hat to celebrate! Well, she's not super excited about the funny hat I made her wear, as you can tell from her expression. But I know she's brimming with joy on the inside about the news ... there's a brand spanking new Happy Tails Pet Photography website! Check it out at www.happytailspetphotography.ca! I'm starting small, with one session price, but I'm hoping it goes (or grows!) well.

It was impossible to get Chloe to smile while wearing the hat - she's not one for doggie clothes of any kind. And after a few shots, she made it clear that she was not a willing participant! Jeesh, talk about the saddest expression ever!

a walk in the woods

With temperatures reaching a balmy two degrees on the weekend, Chloe and I met up with a few friends - two-legged and four-legged - at a nearby trail for a hike through the snow. Little Neo had the shortest legs, but he managed to keep up with everyone.

depressed dog

Since the day we brought the baby home, Chloe has been a little depressed. She still gets two walks a day. She still sleeps on our bed at night (and all day!). And she still gets lots of pets, treats and toys. But if she could talk, I'm pretty sure she would say, "This sucks." So, I can't help but let her get away with small indiscretions like "sneaking" her outside ball inside the house. Hopefully it cheers her up a bit to think she's sticking it to us ... even just a little bit! depressed dog.
